Hello referrers
Are you working with a child or family that could do with a bit of extra help?
If so, you’ve come to the right place. Our aim is to build up strong partnerships with professionals such as family support workers, teachers, health visitors and midwifes so we can start helping families that really need it.
Assessment Criteria
There is no assessment criteria - we leave it up to your professional judgment to determine who could benefit from our services.
Delivery / collection Policy
Deliveries within Islington / Islington borders (Camden, Hackney, Harringay)
We can deliver items for free within Islington and areas bordering Islington.
We cannot deliver to the family directly - we need to deliver to the referrer’s office address or another location such as the children’s centre closest to the family home, the child’s school, nursery etc. We kindly ask that you confirm this arrangement with the children’s centre/school etc prior to delivery.
Deliveries outside Islington / Islington borders
Although our focus is on Islington we do welcome referrals for children and families living in any London borough but please note that we can only deliver to Islington / Islington borders. Bundles for families living outside these areas would need to collected by the referrer (not the family) from us in Islington or we can arrange for a courier such as Evri to deliver direct to clients (the cost of this courier needs to be paid for by the referring agency - it is usually approximately £7 per large box).
Collection
Referrers are welcome to collect the bundles from our storage unit at Islington Square, 11 Esther Anne Place, N1 1UL. Our storage unit is not open every day and is not accessible to the public so we will need to agree a date and time to meet you.

We will email you to let you know that the items are ready for delivery / collection. We aim to do this as soon as possible but please do let us know if your request is urgent.
NHS referrers: unfortunately our emails to @nhs.net email addresses are currently being blocked. We will call you to confirm your referral (so please do give us your mobile number) but if you do not hear from us please email us at hello@merrygorounduk.org (we are able to receive emails from nhs.net)
